I was in my old neighbourhood, Falstaff. becuase i no longer lived there i couldnt park in the basement and a visitor parking garage had been built where the old tim hortons was. my car was parked there for days and as i was walking i saw Indi going to get his car and he was with his 3 adult children. i walked by the garage to see if my car was also there but i didnt want him to see me. when i saw my car it was being attached to a tow truck for parking there for so long and i saw indi and his children were in one car but his other car was also being attached to another tow truck. i immediately went to negotiate with the truck driver to put down my car. he was trying to make me overpay and as we were debating male children came up from playing soccer to watch and i explained what was happening to them and that he was trying to rip me off. while we were debating my car indi and the other tow truck driver left. the tow driver agreed to put my car down and i started walking down the stairs and saw indi on the floor at the bottom of the stairs wailing in pain that the other tow driver had pushed him down and taken his car. i immediately tried to help him up while his daughter watched. he wasnt able to walk and i ran to get a chair to support him. when i returned a black man approached with a wheelchair trying to help him get up and to get outside to the ambulance. when we opened the door it opened into a my teenage yrs church and there was a current funeral going on. annette was with jeremy and wanted me to go to the funeral with her but i told her i couldnt and that i had to stay with indi. during this conversation the paramedic and his daughter had kept walking so i tried to catch up to them. no matter how fast i tried to walk to catch up to them i couldnt and his daughter kept looking back at me. there seemed to be numerous obstables preventing me from reachng him and the rooms kept changing. at one point i followed them through a door and went into a library. the librarian showed me how to get downstairs and they went down a glass elevator and i tried to go down the glass shoot at irst i felt like i was suffocating but then w as able to go down it. that was the last time i saw indi, his daughter and the paramedic as they tried to transport him to the hospital. i was wondering if i should meet them at the hospital. i continued down and every time the stairs turned there was another theme. at one point i saw 3 black men coming up the stairs and i had a girl with me. when we got to the bottom we were trying to exit through a window. we were in a basement so the window was high up. when we tried to open the window i saw count Olaf trying to stop us. we managed to escape outside and outside was bright and sunny. i was heading to the hospital to see if indi was okay then i woke up. (in real like indi was a man i was dating last ur for 5 months and he ghosted me. he has tried to rekindle things but i have been ignoring him and blocked him everywhere)
This dream is rich with symbolism and reflects various aspects of your life, emotions, and unresolved situations. Here's a detailed interpretation:
Old Neighborhood and Familiar Setting: Your dream begins in your old neighborhood, Falstaff. This setting indicates a connection to your past and nostalgia. The fact that you can't park in the basement but instead in a new visitor parking garage suggests feelings of displacement or change. You're revisiting old patterns or memories, yet things are not as they once were.
Indi and His Children: Seeing Indi with his adult children, despite your efforts to avoid him, represents unresolved issues or emotions related to him. His presence could symbolize unfinished business or emotional ties that are still affecting you, despite your attempts to block him out of your life.
Car and Tow Truck: Your car represents your sense of freedom, independence, and control. The car being towed suggests feelings of being trapped, restricted, or a fear of losing control over your own life. Negotiating with the tow truck driver who is trying to overcharge you symbolizes conflict and feeling taken advantage of in some way - possibly relating to your past relationship with Indi.
Soccer Playing Children: The presence of young children playing soccer and coming up to you signifies innocence, potential, and perhaps the need to find joy or simplicity amidst complexity.
Indi's Fall and Your Response: Indi being pushed down and injured could symbolize the emotional fall-out from your past relationship. Your instinct to help suggests unresolved compassion or care you might still feel. The involvement of his daughter and others helping him emphasizes a community or shared influence in personal matters, perhaps reflecting how your emotional struggles with Indi were seen or impacted by others around you.
Funeral and Church: Entering the church where a funeral is happening might hint at the mourning of a past phase of your life or relationship. It could symbolize letting go, endings, or the need to say goodbye to something. Annette and Jeremy wanting you to attend while you refuse indicates a conflict between moving on and holding on.
Chasing and Obstacles: Your struggle to catch up to Indi, facing numerous obstacles, reflects feelings of frustrations, inability to move forward, or encountering barriers in your attempts to resolve something from your past. It might be your subconscious processing the difficulties of reaching closure.
Library and Glass Elevator/Shoot: The library represents knowledge, wisdom, and introspection. Going down the glass elevator or shoot, initially suffocating and then manageable, symbolizes the process of descending into your subconscious to discover or understand deeper truths about your situation. The transition from suffocation to relief might suggest finding some form of resolution or acceptance.
Count Olaf and Escape: Being hindered by Count Olaf, a character known for deceit and malevolence, points to inner fears or external influences preventing your progress. The bright and sunny escape symbolizes hope, clarity, freedom, and new beginnings after overcoming obstacles.
Heading to the Hospital: Finally, deciding whether to meet Indi at the hospital signifies contemplation over revisiting or resolving past emotional wounds. It’s a crossroads between continuing to resolve these feelings or choosing a different path forward.
In conclusion, this dream reflects your emotional struggle with issues of control, past relationships, unresolved emotions with Indi, and your attempt to move forward in life. The symbols indicate both the challenges you face and the potential for new beginnings by reconciling with the past. Consider reflecting on what closure means for you and how you can support yourself in moving forward authentically and confidently.
